Use your skills and knowledge to assist a real-world client in implementing one or more aspects of the client’s existing communications plan in this self-directed course. Eligibility is determined by the Program Manager.
PUB 113 Social Media Research & Techniques (3 Units)
Apply social media knowledge to public relations practice by conducting research, campaigns and engaging communities. Study current business cases to explore best practices.
Prerequisite: Building Social Media Relationships
PUB 114 Internship (3 Units)
This elective course is designed to integrate the theory learned in the classroom with the practical experience of a public relations/communications setting. Students will have the opportunity to observe and practice a wide range of skills outlined in the academic courses, thereby facilitating a transfer directly to the workplace. Students will develop a set of personal learning objectives and in conjunction with the organizations and course instructor, will agree on a learning plan. Students cannot take both the Internship and the Final Project
