International students are welcome to participate in McMaster continuing education programs online or in person.
Please ensure you review McMaster University's English Language Proficiency
requirements prior to enrolling.
Course fees and admission
requirements are the same for international and domestic (Canadian) students.
Study permits are required for in-person programs longer than six months. We can
issue you a Letter of Acceptance of Intent (depending on your program) for you to provide to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) with your study permit application.
Please note that
study permit applications are reviewed by IRCC only. McMaster University does not assist
with this process, nor can we guarantee your permit will be approved. View Government of Canada information regarding study and work permits.
Please contact your local Canadian embassy for further details regarding study visa
requirements.
Certificate & Diploma programs that can be completed in person (temporary offered via Virtual Classroom due to COVID-19):
Note for students studying online from mainland China: McMaster University has introduced a new network service – the Alibaba VPN Global Accelerator. This network service will allow students located in mainland China to gain access to a faster and more consistent connection to McMaster’s network and learning materials, including student mail (Gmail), library resources, and Mosaic. More details on this optional service are available on the University Technology Services website.
